About Jenny
Jenny Atchley
began her career as a freelance writer for various publications
including the Denver Business Journal, Boulder Daily Camera,
Colorado Daily, Boulder Women’s Magazine, Energy for Women
magazine, and The Coloradan. She also taught a freshman
writing class at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After five
years working for the media, she transitioned to a career in communications
and public relations.
Jenny worked as a speechwriter and editor for several years before
joining a busy public relations agency as an account executive.
Jenny’s experience working in public relations exposed her
to the relentless pressure to achieve material success and ever
higher rungs along the corporate ladder. As she grew increasingly
dissatisfied with her situation in life, she also began learning
how to take life’s stress a little less seriously. As
Jenny began to redefine what was valuable, she decided to leave
her public relations career for a less demanding job.
Jenny received a bachelor’s degree in business administration
and a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication
from the University of Colorado.
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys reading, running, and riding her
motorcycle. She lives near Boulder, Colorado, with her husband and
dog. | Contact Jenny
